Welcome to the Bi-Weekly Game Suggestion Thread!
Do you not know what to play?
You found a niche game that everyone should try? Can't find the perfect zombie survival animal simulator game? Well this is the thread for you. This is going to be a weekly thread containing questions about what should I play and suggestions for new games to play. After the first week we will include charts with the most upvoted responses and such each week.
Now to make this work the best and not just be spammed with "What should I play?", please be as in depth in what type of game you want to play and what you are looking for. There are too many games to be able to properly suggest something with no background information.
If you want to discuss things relating to this thread but that aren't suggestion or suggestion questions then please check the stickied META comment and reply to it.
Fluff Around 3000 trading cards quick sold and 80€ made. Could probably have made a bit more with some patience but meh.. Now I have money to buy some new games and earn new trading cards!
Samsung Galaxy S10+
It's been like this for years, never worked since the app released. I guess it's about time I report it somewhere.
I'm getting this popup almost every day when I start the PC and Steam starts. I've tried reinstalling (completely) my steam installation, and it just pops back up regularly. Is there something I should do to fix this? Im getting the feeling its not completing properly and retries everytime i boot.
i suddenly have a folder on my pc called Darkness and in it is _meaning with it saying “thank you for trying When the Darkness comes” i’ve never played this game tho so i wouldn’t know how it got on my pc. i looked it up and apparently it’s a game that’s on steam and at first i thought it was The Darkness (the one published by 2K) because i played that one but no
I bought beamng drive a while ago and I logged into my new PC today, but I couldn't find the game nor other games I had on there. They're missing in the library and when searched on the store, they need to be purchased. Help
Edit: I actually got beamng as a gift (long story) from a friend but I doubt that changes anything
I tried peeling off the code on the back of a steam gift card instead of scratching it off, and now I don't have most of the code. I should have SCRATCHED it off.
I am such a moron.
Game Advice Who here would consider Transport Fever 2/Cities Skylines a good game? (For future reference)
Is there any way of getting save data from my Xbox across to my newly built PC? I don’t want to lose my progress
Does steam accept paysafe cards anymore?
I've had trouble trying to add minecraft to steam, I just wanna play java with a controller that's it. I have followed this: https://www.reddit.com/r/Steam/comments/a1j5m7/add_microsoft_store_apps_to_steam_tutorial/ and have done this, but when I right click on "properties" on the shortcut and I look at the target type it trails off screen and I can't see the rest. I can't change the size of the "properties" window either, so I can't see the rest. If someone gave me an example for java edition like in the image (image is bedrock not java) I could probably fill the rest. My one does not follow that same format as this, I don't know anything about it, like can I share a screenshot of my "target type" or is it like IP address, that you don't want to share. Anyway please help, I will send screenshot of my properties if needed
Question If I enable GPU hardware acceleration in Steam, will that dedicated VRAM be freed up if needed by games?
I use a 3GB GTX 1060. It holds up pretty well for today's standards tbh but the big limitation is that 3GB of VRAM. Well, Steam can use anywhere from like 50MB-500MB of dedicated (not shared system) VRAM even when it's in the background it seems. I am curious if I am playing a modern game like Black Ops Cold War which ends up using like 2.8GB/3GB of dedicated VRAM during heavy gameplay, will Steam reduce the dedicated VRAM it uses so that I don't run out? I really prefer using my GPU for the smoother transitions on Steam with my 170Hz display but if the VRAM is limiting my game performance, then I guess I'll stick with using my CPU for rendering Steam (Ryzen 5 3600).
I want to wipe a games achievement because I want to re get them all. I basically want to wipe and restart like I just bought the game. Is there a way for me to reset the hours of the game? Also if I do wipe the achievements does the activity log still show I got them and will say I got the achievement again? Or will it just wipe completely? Let me know if there's a better way to do this without using the family share feature.
Hello, Anyone that can tell me if steamID.uk is safe to log into?
Cause I want to look at my data to see if my old avatar has been saved there so i can get it again.
a feature like that should be added. I have some items from the steam 3000 event (the recent summer sale event), and they honestly just look kind of stupid, but theres no way to get rid of them or permanently hide them. I can understand making things untradable/unmarketable, but at least let me turn them into gems, or even just trash them.
I don’t wanna buy it while it’s $850 so I wanna know if it ever goes on sale
So I’m out living in Denmark for the moment, and my debit card will not work because I’m from the US. Can I make a PayPal in Denmark, or circumvent this some other way? I really wanna get crypt of the necro dancer before the sale is over 😭
