All four games lol. It's not like PC gaming is really competing with PS. Wish we could get God of War and The Last of Us and Spider-Man; they seem cool but I'm not buying an entire console just to try them.

65

u/reddare13 Oct 01 '21

wait, there are four??

108

u/motherchuggingpugs Oct 01 '21

Days Gone, Horizon Zero Dawn, Helldivers and Predator Hunting Grounds

3

u/reddare13 Oct 01 '21

didn't see hunting grounds there, I might be blind lol

13

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '21

Helldivers was made in-house at Playstation?

20

u/nikolai2960 Oct 01 '21

No but it’s a publisher event, not a dev event

2

u/PrizmX2 Oct 01 '21

Luckily Horizon Zero Dawn is now on pc. But I’m pretty sure the new Horizon Forbidden West is only going to launch on ps5 :(

1

u/cokush Oct 03 '21

It’s coming out on ps4 too, probably will come to pc a few years later like the first one

-19

u/SinisterPixel Oct 01 '21

So, the bargain bin exclusives?

16

u/AbanaClara Oct 01 '21

wym days gone and hzd are amazing games

-17

u/SinisterPixel Oct 01 '21

Yeah but 2 and 4 years old at this point. Everyone who wants to play them has already played them

17

u/reddare13 Oct 01 '21

except the people who never bought a ps4

13

u/AbanaClara Oct 01 '21

But this is pc we are talking about.... arent we? So what if they are 2-4 years old?

1

u/nvrsmr1 Oct 01 '21

Not true. I’ve had a PS4 since 2014 and had never played days gone until May when it was free on PlayStation. Wish I would have waited till august when I got my PC. And just bought HZD yesterday because it went on sale.

1

u/Mutant-Overlord Covid-19 is a punishment for creating Dead Rising 4 Oct 02 '21

Not sure if stupid or REALLY stupid lol

1

u/rooshavik Oct 01 '21

No no hes right even I a PlayStation fanatic gotta agree with this but don’t sleep on helldivers

86

u/RedIndianRobin Oct 01 '21

God of war is pretty much confirmed after the latest Geforce Now leak. It also has a hidden Steam ID associated with it. However there's no word of TLOU2 or Spider Man.

32

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '21 edited Oct 01 '21

TLOU and TLOU2 could easily be timed with release of the HBO show. Not sure Sony would do Spider-Man with the Marvel games already on PC, they probably want to keep him for themselves on their platform as a system seller.

10

u/FudgingEgo Oct 01 '21

What will likely happen is they release TLOU remastered on PC and the TLOU remake is released on PS5 when the HBO show comes out.

1

u/spitfire9107 Oct 01 '21

shuld the trilogy come too?

1

u/RedIndianRobin Oct 01 '21

No only the 2018 God of War.

1

u/imad7x Oct 02 '21

About time I finish GoW I, II, III on RPCS3

4

u/thatmusicguy13 Oct 01 '21

I think they do get it. It seems like a majority of their exclusives will come to PC. Just not at the same time as they release on console. I have a PS5 because I enjoy playing games on it, but I use it half of the time as a 4K player. Can't beat the quality of a movie off of a 4K disc. Also a majority of the type of games I play are narrative single player games and I am too impatient to wait for them to come to PC. With my PC, PS5, and Switch I get the best of everything.

3

u/rodrigo_vda Oct 01 '21

Yeah, we all already knew that money was the key to not making compromises. The PC vs Console argument is based on "people have limited budget".

1

u/thatmusicguy13 Oct 01 '21

Which makes a lot of sense. I only have a PS5 currently because I got it as a gift. Glad that there will be more options for people to play the Sony exclusives

1

u/ttv_CitrusBros Oct 01 '21

Ya thats probably the main reason. For me personally I just don't see the appeal in consoles anymore plus don't have many friends that play it. I'd rent out a PS to go through all the God of wars in a week then return it if I could

3

u/Lonewxnderer Oct 01 '21

That's what they don't seem to get. If I'm a PC gamer I'm not switching to console

Plenty of PC gamers do have a Switch

0

u/Dramatic_Juice_644 Oct 01 '21

Yeah, I actualy bought ps4 slim two years ago to play exlisives. Enjoyed only Uncharted 4 and Last of Us 1. Good thing is U4 is comming to pc.

13

u/JDario13 Oct 01 '21

What we really need is Bloodborne and Demon Souls, they are taking their time

16

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '21

[deleted]

6

u/tugfaxd55 Oct 01 '21

I know Killzone would find a great place on PC Gaming. Those matches were so god damn good.

13

u/Paincake990 Oct 01 '21

Bro I would kill if I could replay the Killzone games with higher FOV. Wouldnt mind if they ported the inFAMOUS games aswell.

7

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '21

[deleted]

2

u/Paincake990 Oct 01 '21

Yeah and they all hold up pretty well, especially second son of course.

Sadly I could only see them add Second Son and the standalone DLC First Light since they didnt even port the older games over to PS4 so they would have to do quite some work for them to work on a normal pc.

3

u/Random_Stranger69 Oct 01 '21

That would be crazy. I never fully enjoyed them on console because I dont like FPS with controller inputs. I would have the time of my life playing them on PC. Somehow I dont see it though since most of them were on PS3 and this a difficult to port platform.

2

u/UberJonez Oct 01 '21
  • Remake Killzone
  • Remaster 1-3, maybe throw Shadow Fall into the mix. Crazy enough and do Mercenary too.
  • All games under one launcher like The Master Chief collection does
  • PS5/PC crossplay

Pls.

3

u/lhaelrena22 Oct 01 '21 edited Oct 01 '21

I just want FFVII remake to come

u/jakethesnake949 Oct 01 '21

Epic exclusive

-1

u/Tastes-Jammy Oct 01 '21

They are all worth getting a console for.

4

u/MatthewHWood Oct 01 '21

Meh. You're talking about purchasing a $500 console if you can find it, plus $200 in games... that's a hefty price tag for games which could be $100 total on Steam.

It's not like Sony makes money on the artificially inflated PS5 scalper market.. I like to think PlayStation understands they can either make $0 on PC gamers or $100 by porting PS games. As long as they dodge the Epic Games exclusivity nonsense.

1

u/Lonewxnderer Oct 01 '21

You're talking about purchasing a $500 console if you can find it, plus $200 in games...

That's the same math the people on console do when speaking about PC. You know it can be way cheaper.

5

u/MatthewHWood Oct 01 '21

It's not the same, though. A PS5 is solely for playing games and watching media. An actual PC is fully customizable, a necessary component to an effective home office, allows the user to create basically anything they want, can emulate the majority of older games with no network bricks, as well as doing the same entertainment a PS can but better. I can drop $2k on the best technological tool ever created easier than spending $500 on just an entertainment center to playing Spider-Man lol.

-5

u/Lonewxnderer Oct 01 '21

Again missing the point with the "le masterrace" shit. You can clearly do both. Listing MSRP when plenty of options to buy PS4 and games and the cheap.

-2

u/Tastes-Jammy Oct 01 '21

Or getting a second hand cheap PS4 to experience them? I've always been a PC gamer but I've had more fun on the ps5 gaming then I have for so many years with pc. The games you listed are truly amazing worth getting.

1

u/Mr-_-Blue Oct 01 '21

Try psnow. I'm a former console player but current PC gamer. I play those exclusives on my PC streamed from psnow service. I mostly used an old PS3 controller plus rewasd, and I think is a pretty good deal. Actually, I got the 14 day free trial back then and I was able to plat days gone and Horizon Zero Down in that period. Not sure they have that free trial anymore though.

0

u/BostonC5 Oct 01 '21

God of War is on Playstation now, you can play it on your PC

1

u/RoguishlyHoward Oct 01 '21

If it’s anything like PS Now on a PlayStation console then it’s a hard pass from me.

God of War 2018 was pretty overrated and wanted to be The Last of Us so bad, but came up short.

22

u/Peesneeze Oct 01 '21

Overrated wut. It was fantastic.

3

u/cool-- Oct 01 '21

I think there was a good game in there but i thought air was odd that they seemed to want it to be very cinematic but had lots of games elements that kind of hurt the cinematics.

It was all one shot but the menus for power ups and the menus comparing percentage points between armor completely leave the game and cut into that one shot from beginning to end idea.

They set out to spread ashes... and they are constantly shopping for armor and weapon upgrades... It's a bit goofy. And it kills the pacing.

I would have preferred if it was all a bit more streamlined.

Dead space 2 was one shot from beginning to end and it really committed to it. The menus were all within the environment, it was more linear to keep the game moving along, there werent a lot of interruptions or things to collect. It was more focused.

There is an interview with cory barlog and he talks about how his first thought was to have kratos have a simple iron axe, but then he let other people talk him into upgrading it with different features because it is a game. I honestly would have much preferred one axe that doesn't change. It would have put more focus on kratos' journey with his son as opposed to collecting money, buying gear and becoming even more over powered

-14

u/funnyinput Oct 01 '21

It was nothing compared to the original trilogy.

-6

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '21

Imagine getting downvoted for an opinion. Remember when downvotes had a genuine purpose and weren't just used to silence unpopular opinions? i 'member

7

u/CentralAdmin Oct 01 '21

You know very well redditors only see an agree and disagree button. Otherwise unpopular, but well informed and thought-provoking, opinions would be upvoted.

3

u/Icebomber02 Oct 01 '21

What do you mean “imagine getting downvoted for an opinion”??? It’s not like a downvote is a big f you, it’s just a like or dislike which is basically an agree or disagree. It’s being used as intended here.

-3

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '21

I never said it is a big f you. I don't get why no one asked them to elaborate on the hot take about God of War instead of instantly flaming them for a different opinion. I personally thought GoW was pretty good so i'd love to hear why someone didn't think as highly of it. Its not the downvotes that are the issue its the lack of cordial discussion

-1

u/ZEDZANO- Oct 01 '21

Downvotes are intended for things that are off topic or do not contribute

9

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '21

[deleted]

2

u/funnyinput Oct 01 '21

Does the length of a game make or break it for you if it's actually good, or are you one of those people that need to have 100+ hours of game time to feel they got their money's worth? Lol. Oh boy; 10 hours of actual good content and 90 hours of fetch quests and walking to interesting points on the map. Sounds fun.

-3

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '21

[deleted]

0

u/funnyinput Oct 01 '21

Longer doesn't always mean better though. For example I'll take a really fun 8 hour game over an okay 50 hour game. Most long games aren't as engaging and are filled with backtracking, fetch quests, and traveling to get to the fun parts. Duh.

-1

u/ThisWorldIsAMess Oct 01 '21

And they have chosen Shits gone for one of the four. I'd even take Gravity Rush over it.

-1

u/actunpt Oct 01 '21

I believe exclusives are the whole point of consoles nowadays. There is no point in getting a playstation if your exclusives are on pc, hell they probably even run better in pc than console.

0

u/NanoGeek Oct 01 '21

They run better if you have a powerful enough PC. And with graphics card prices these days, that's not going to be a cheap computer.

1

u/Eruasa Oct 01 '21

I mean, would love to have the Gran Turismo series on PC too. So Forza and Gran Turismo could compete on one platform.

1

u/The_Giant_Lizard Oct 01 '21

I think with Playstation Now you can play them all (or at least the most important) on PC, no? I wanted to do that, actually

1

u/hippoangel99 Oct 01 '21

Spider-Man alone is worth the 400 bones tbh

-1

u/Seismica Oct 01 '21 edited Oct 01 '21

We want Gran Turismo 7. PC is short of decent racing games outside of the hardcore sims (iRacing, Assetto Corsa etc.). I think Microsoft is bringing the next Forza Motorsport to PC Microsoft has already brough Forza Motorsport to PC (And Horizon I guess but that's a different type of racing game), so your move Sony.

1

u/AlCatSplat Oct 01 '21

Forza 7 is already on PC, along with the Forza Horizon series.

1

u/jakethesnake949 Oct 01 '21

Forza horizon 3&4 (soon to be 5) and Forza motorsport 7 (and their next one) are all pc games. They already beat Sony to the punch back in late 2016 I believe.

0

u/Nitrozah Oct 01 '21

I want rachet and clank tbh, loved the series and still do to this day.

0

u/lefty9602 Oct 01 '21

They should just make their own launcher if it makes them happy to have 100% revenue cut.

348

u/Crockpottins Sep 30 '21

Need to announce a few more games there bud.

185

u/vinaysin Oct 01 '21

Exactly! Give us at least 10 more games and Bloodborne then I will be excited to buy

26

u/martyrdomm Oct 01 '21

I would love to have the god of wars. But it seems too far fetched.

8

u/Jacksaur https://s.team/p/gdfn-qhm Oct 01 '21

Reboot God of War is likely, but the old ones we won't see unless they make remasters of them for PS5. They won't see a point in spending so much effort on such old games just for a PC release.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '21

Yeah a Steam version of God of War (2018) was found on Nvidia's developer database. Doesn't mean it will definitely come out but it exists and they could announce it if they want.

2

u/OutcastOddity Oct 01 '21

I remember them diving into the information on said Nvidia leak, and they found it was just placeholders. An employee testing the page out put in place holders to see what it would look like, and mid maintenance people discovered said leak. Honestly I'm not 100% sure, but more like 90% sure it was from the Nvidia leak.

18

u/grey59 Oct 01 '21

The GeForce Now NVIDIA game database leak included a couple PlayStation titles, including god of war. So it’s not impossible :)

2

u/grey59 Oct 01 '21

https://imgur.com/g64Cb9u

6

u/Samford_ Oct 01 '21

im guessing they'll have a collection of the older games but not have the newer games

-3

u/martyrdomm Oct 01 '21

I accept that. Can get a ps4 and pay the new, can't get a ps2 and pay the old without much effort and time.

1

u/LaserTurboShark69 Oct 01 '21

Just played through the God of War HD collection on RPCS3 emulator, worked like a charm. Those games still hold up very well.

God of War 3 doesn't run so well, though.

6

u/Crockpottins Oct 01 '21

I've played through Blooodborne 3-4 times, I would HAPPILY pay full price for it again. It is soooooo fucking good

1

u/epicmanhatan Oct 01 '21

Same got platinum, i would do it all over again on pc

51

u/MetalDeathMetal Oct 01 '21

Just Bloodborne alone is worth ten games.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '21

It is very fun

2

u/The_Algerian Oct 01 '21

Heh.

I bought a PS4 for this, not worth it.

Could be amazing, but I can't play a game with that kind of performance.

1

u/Impressive-Drop-2796 Oct 02 '21

I bought a ps4 for it. Then bought another one when the DLC came out. Worth it both times. I'd play that game at 15 fps if it was the only option. And I'm someone who plays all my games at 100+ fps. Doesn't matter when it's Bloodborne.

You've done yourself a disservice by not allowing yourself to adapt.

-13

u/TriticumAestivum Oct 01 '21

Just Bloodborne alone shit on every shitbox games ever made

7

u/DebitsandShredits Oct 01 '21

Damn, those shitbox people really got you good. On a scale from 1 to 10 how much does it hurt?

1

u/daniel_degude Oct 01 '21

The correct answer, of course, is always 8 or 9, never 10.

-4

u/TriticumAestivum Oct 01 '21

Uhhhhhh....0?

But damn my comment really got you good, you are shitbox user? On scale from 1 to 100 how much does my comment hurt you?

1

u/Wacktive Oct 01 '21

I believe I saw somewhere that Sony will only be releasing first party titles on the steam store. Games like bloodborne won't ever make it unless they change their stance on the 3rd party exclusivity

1

u/Greglegman Oct 01 '21

How is the relationship between Sony and Guerrilla Games (Horizon Zero Dawn) different from the relationship between Sony and FromSoftware?

1

u/Wacktive Oct 01 '21

Well HZD was published by Sony games so it is considered a first party title. Idk what Guerillas games involvement is with HZD. My best guess is they handled the PC port.

1

u/Greglegman Oct 01 '21

Bloodborne was published by Sony; it was developed by FromSoftware.

HZD was published by Sony; it was developed by Guerrilla.

edited for more clarity.

1

u/Wacktive Oct 01 '21 edited Oct 01 '21

Ah damn you are right. Then maybe with time or enough public outcry we can get a bloodborne pc port? That would be awesome! For some reason I thought Bloodborne was developed by fromsoftware and published by bandainamco

1

u/Raven_kvd Oct 01 '21

Uncharted collection is going to come.

1

u/MadOrange64 Oct 01 '21

121

u/S3NSUALSL0TH Oct 01 '21

Still waiting on BB and Demon Souls

24

u/Gnerus Oct 01 '21

Just give me Judgment (Lost Judgment too) and Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise and I'll be happy.

39

u/Jacksaur https://s.team/p/gdfn-qhm Oct 01 '21

Just give me Judgment (Lost Judgment too)

That's not Sony, that's Sega.
And it isn't Sega's fault either, it's the asshole celebrity agency they had to work with. They just straight up won't allow a PC Port because they don't want their actor on the platform. They are so controlling they don't even allow pictures of their talent to be used in media with interviews!

Sega at least has taken the PC side, and has cancelled the series from here on because of it.

12

u/hopeisforpresidents Oct 01 '21

Sega at least has taken the PC side, and has cancelled the series from here on because of it.

Whoa, I knew about the shitty celebrity agency, but didn't know that SEGA went that far for PC Gaming, it makes me really, really happy.

I said to a few friends that I would 3d-scan my face and send it to SEGA so they could release Judgement on PC, I just might do it for the joke

5

u/Zorro_347 Oct 01 '21

I highly doubt it was done for the sake of PC gamers. "We canceling this series, because platform that never had it in the first place can't get it" would have been a massive meddle finger for PS gamers.

My guess would be something in the lines of SEGA being not OK with a third party having such a tight grip on their IP.

2

u/Jacksaur https://s.team/p/gdfn-qhm Oct 01 '21

Aye, it's great that they've started treating the platform so well. The Bayonetta and Vanquish ports were out of nowhere, and they've been doing great since.

I'm really hoping they'll be able convince Atlus to port the rest of the Persona titles someday.

1

u/Gnerus Oct 02 '21

I know all that, I'm really into Yakuza. I just like to cry about it because it makes me feel better.
However FotNS:LP could be ported to PC without a problem, but SEGA just doesn't do it for some reason.

12

u/thebigvinoca Oct 01 '21

Sadly will never happen, and it's not because of PS, the agency industry in Japan is big and awful.

The agency of the main actor don't want him to be on a PC game because people can create mods and he will be "exposed to the internet".

I know it's sounds joke, but it's because of that.

1

u/Zorro_347 Oct 01 '21

Whoever runs that company definitely has absolutely no idea how technology works, i believe they said something in lines of "we don't want to have our actor on a computer connected to the internet" (don't quote me).. because PlayStation is not a computer and cant be connected to internet?

Which is extra silly cause because game being on the PS didn't stop people from ripping his model and making a silly videos with him anyway, lol.

1

u/Gnerus Oct 02 '21

Yeah, I'm a big Yakuza fan and I know that. I guess I'm just lamenting it everywhere I can lol
However FotNS:LP could be ported to PC without a problem, but SEGA just doesn't do it for some reason.

14

-9

u/Jkaezorz Oct 01 '21

nope. uncharted 4 and the crappy spin off. that announcement made me sad.

3

u/axiomvira Oct 01 '21

Lost Legacy is fantastic though

1

u/Jkaezorz Oct 01 '21

still doesn't make up for not releasing Uncharted 1-3 on pc

1

u/redditoradi Oct 01 '21

Considering Bloodbourne is a fairly old game. It should definitely be there on PC soon. I just hope it is really considered.

Idk if Sony will consider Demon Souls on PC anytime soon considering it is a PS5 exclusive.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 07 '21

Demon souls is the best exclusive they have imo (even if not the most popular) and it seems to be their biggest proud. Probably will hold onto that exclusivity for a long time, if not forever. Which is sad, because I want to replay the remake but I ain't paying (scalped) console just for one game I'm interested in.

76

u/AnotherGibaway Sep 30 '21

There's so little there that it's hard to get excited over, but baby steps, I guess. Maybe in 5 years or so we'll get them putting their games on PC at the same time as their console releases.

46

u/Fluyeh Sep 30 '21

Was disappointed by the list as well.

Would absolutely love to play Ghosts of Tsushima and Spider-man 1440p-high refresh rate but cannot force myself to buy an entire console for just two games

10

u/KarateCockroach Sep 30 '21

I hope one day i can see the shadow of the colossus remake on steam.

1

2

1

u/Paincake990 Oct 01 '21

As far as I know Sony bought Bluepoint, isnt that a company for remasters, remakes and pc ports? That would be a really good reason to get hyped about more Sony games coming to PC. God of War is basically confirmed.

15

u/Vile35 Oct 01 '21

i wish killzone and resistance and twisted metal. would come to steam

Yeah then they'd have to actually make them look nice.

I love PlayStation, grew up with them. But I hate this exclusivity shit. If they were on Steam, I'd be walking away from this sale with Bloodborne, Ghost of Tsushima, Miles Morales, and an ass ton more of older games like the inFAMOUS franchise. PS Now is good since it allows us to play PlayStation titles on PC, but they only have older titles and a small library. Idk, it seems to me that it's mainly the Japanese companies that do the console only stuff, but some are starting to come around which is good. (Save for Nintendo, fuck Nintendo.) Persona 4 on Steam for example sold very well, opens up the possibility of Persona 5 on Steam, which I know would sell huge numbers and probably change some companies minds on exclusivity in the future.

PC: "You couldn't live with your own failure. And where has that brought you? Back to me."

If they port all previous ps3 era games (Mainly Metal Gear Solid 3, and God of War) then I’d consider re-buying it for nostalgia.

I try to pay attention to this stuff, but this whole time I did not realize Helldivers was published by Sony/Playstation, that's crazy!
