Need to announce a few more games there bud.

u/vinaysin Oct 01 '21
Exactly! Give us at least 10 more games and Bloodborne then I will be excited to buy
26
u/martyrdomm Oct 01 '21
I would love to have the god of wars. But it seems too far fetched.
8
u/Jacksaur https://s.team/p/gdfn-qhm Oct 01 '21
Reboot God of War is likely, but the old ones we won't see unless they make remasters of them for PS5. They won't see a point in spending so much effort on such old games just for a PC release.
2
Oct 01 '21
Yeah a Steam version of God of War (2018) was found on Nvidia's developer database. Doesn't mean it will definitely come out but it exists and they could announce it if they want.
2
u/OutcastOddity Oct 01 '21
I remember them diving into the information on said Nvidia leak, and they found it was just placeholders. An employee testing the page out put in place holders to see what it would look like, and mid maintenance people discovered said leak. Honestly I'm not 100% sure, but more like 90% sure it was from the Nvidia leak.
18
u/grey59 Oct 01 '21
The GeForce Now NVIDIA game database leak included a couple PlayStation titles, including god of war. So it’s not impossible :)

u/Samford_ Oct 01 '21
im guessing they'll have a collection of the older games but not have the newer games
-3
u/martyrdomm Oct 01 '21
I accept that. Can get a ps4 and pay the new, can't get a ps2 and pay the old without much effort and time.
1
u/LaserTurboShark69 Oct 01 '21
Just played through the God of War HD collection on RPCS3 emulator, worked like a charm. Those games still hold up very well.
God of War 3 doesn't run so well, though.

u/Crockpottins Oct 01 '21
I've played through Blooodborne 3-4 times, I would HAPPILY pay full price for it again. It is soooooo fucking good

u/MetalDeathMetal Oct 01 '21
Just Bloodborne alone is worth ten games.
3
Oct 01 '21
It is very fun
2
u/The_Algerian Oct 01 '21
Heh.
I bought a PS4 for this, not worth it.
Could be amazing, but I can't play a game with that kind of performance.
1
u/Impressive-Drop-2796 Oct 02 '21
I bought a ps4 for it. Then bought another one when the DLC came out. Worth it both times. I'd play that game at 15 fps if it was the only option. And I'm someone who plays all my games at 100+ fps. Doesn't matter when it's Bloodborne.
You've done yourself a disservice by not allowing yourself to adapt.

u/TriticumAestivum Oct 01 '21
Just Bloodborne alone shit on every shitbox games ever made
7
u/DebitsandShredits Oct 01 '21
Damn, those shitbox people really got you good. On a scale from 1 to 10 how much does it hurt?

u/TriticumAestivum Oct 01 '21
Uhhhhhh....0?
But damn my comment really got you good, you are shitbox user? On scale from 1 to 100 how much does my comment hurt you?
1
u/Wacktive Oct 01 '21
I believe I saw somewhere that Sony will only be releasing first party titles on the steam store. Games like bloodborne won't ever make it unless they change their stance on the 3rd party exclusivity
1
u/Greglegman Oct 01 '21
How is the relationship between Sony and Guerrilla Games (Horizon Zero Dawn) different from the relationship between Sony and FromSoftware?
1
u/Wacktive Oct 01 '21
Well HZD was published by Sony games so it is considered a first party title. Idk what Guerillas games involvement is with HZD. My best guess is they handled the PC port.
1
u/Greglegman Oct 01 '21
Bloodborne was published by Sony; it was developed by FromSoftware.
HZD was published by Sony; it was developed by Guerrilla.
edited for more clarity.

u/Wacktive Oct 01 '21 edited Oct 01 '21
Ah damn you are right. Then maybe with time or enough public outcry we can get a bloodborne pc port? That would be awesome! For some reason I thought Bloodborne was developed by fromsoftware and published by bandainamco

Still waiting on BB and Demon Souls

u/Gnerus Oct 01 '21
Just give me Judgment (Lost Judgment too) and Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise and I'll be happy.

Just give me Judgment (Lost Judgment too)
That's not Sony, that's Sega.
And it isn't Sega's fault either, it's the asshole celebrity agency they had to work with. They just straight up won't allow a PC Port because they don't want their actor on the platform. They are so controlling they don't even allow pictures of their talent to be used in media with interviews!Sega at least has taken the PC side, and has cancelled the series from here on because of it.
12
u/hopeisforpresidents Oct 01 '21
Sega at least has taken the PC side, and has cancelled the series from here on because of it.
Whoa, I knew about the shitty celebrity agency, but didn't know that SEGA went that far for PC Gaming, it makes me really, really happy.
I said to a few friends that I would 3d-scan my face and send it to SEGA so they could release Judgement on PC, I just might do it for the joke
5
u/Zorro_347 Oct 01 '21
I highly doubt it was done for the sake of PC gamers. "We canceling this series, because platform that never had it in the first place can't get it" would have been a massive meddle finger for PS gamers.
My guess would be something in the lines of SEGA being not OK with a third party having such a tight grip on their IP.
2
u/Jacksaur https://s.team/p/gdfn-qhm Oct 01 '21
Aye, it's great that they've started treating the platform so well. The Bayonetta and Vanquish ports were out of nowhere, and they've been doing great since.
I'm really hoping they'll be able convince Atlus to port the rest of the Persona titles someday.
1
u/Gnerus Oct 02 '21
I know all that, I'm really into Yakuza. I just like to cry about it because it makes me feel better.
However FotNS:LP could be ported to PC without a problem, but SEGA just doesn't do it for some reason.12
u/thebigvinoca Oct 01 '21
Sadly will never happen, and it's not because of PS, the agency industry in Japan is big and awful.
The agency of the main actor don't want him to be on a PC game because people can create mods and he will be "exposed to the internet".
I know it's sounds joke, but it's because of that.
1
u/Zorro_347 Oct 01 '21
Whoever runs that company definitely has absolutely no idea how technology works, i believe they said something in lines of "we don't want to have our actor on a computer connected to the internet" (don't quote me).. because PlayStation is not a computer and cant be connected to internet?
Which is extra silly cause because game being on the PS didn't stop people from ripping his model and making a silly videos with him anyway, lol.
1
u/Gnerus Oct 02 '21
Yeah, I'm a big Yakuza fan and I know that. I guess I'm just lamenting it everywhere I can lol
However FotNS:LP could be ported to PC without a problem, but SEGA just doesn't do it for some reason.14

u/redditoradi Oct 01 '21
Considering Bloodbourne is a fairly old game. It should definitely be there on PC soon. I just hope it is really considered.
Idk if Sony will consider Demon Souls on PC anytime soon considering it is a PS5 exclusive.
1
Oct 07 '21
Demon souls is the best exclusive they have imo (even if not the most popular) and it seems to be their biggest proud. Probably will hold onto that exclusivity for a long time, if not forever. Which is sad, because I want to replay the remake but I ain't paying (scalped) console just for one game I'm interested in.

u/AnotherGibaway Sep 30 '21
There's so little there that it's hard to get excited over, but baby steps, I guess. Maybe in 5 years or so we'll get them putting their games on PC at the same time as their console releases.

u/Fluyeh Sep 30 '21
Was disappointed by the list as well.
Would absolutely love to play Ghosts of Tsushima and Spider-man 1440p-high refresh rate but cannot force myself to buy an entire console for just two games

As far as I know Sony bought Bluepoint, isnt that a company for remasters, remakes and pc ports? That would be a really good reason to get hyped about more Sony games coming to PC. God of War is basically confirmed.

u/Vile35 Oct 01 '21
i wish killzone and resistance and twisted metal. would come to steam

u/mymindisblack Oct 01 '21
Killzone is my favourite shooter so far and it breaks my heart because the last console I owned was the PS3

Um, no, you couldn't. Valve has a long history of hating Sony solely for the development of the PS3, and Gabe Newell has made plenty of public comments against PlayStation's business model and tool kits.

Please do because it doesn't exist without homebrewing the system and utilizing that homebrew steam remote play.

u/bernisaurr Oct 01 '21
It’s their strategy, they wanna hook new players into their franchise.
So when new games of that franchise released exclusive on PS. Players might get a PS for it.

u/AsleepEntrepreneur73 Oct 01 '21
He's literally in Marvel Ultimate alliance 3 which is a switch exclusive lol

Yeah, so happy for this. I have been playing Horizon (great game) and just tried Helldivers with some friends (super fun with friends).
Can't wait for Uncharted next year!

Really looking forward to seeing massive PS sales in like 2024 when we have a good number of ports on the platform.
2
u/TheWiseBeluga Oct 01 '21
One day, even though it'll never happen unless they stop making consoles, I'd be utterly ecstatic to see Nintendo games on the Steam store.
1
2
u/codytb1 Oct 01 '21
I love PlayStation, grew up with them. But I hate this exclusivity shit. If they were on Steam, I'd be walking away from this sale with Bloodborne, Ghost of Tsushima, Miles Morales, and an ass ton more of older games like the inFAMOUS franchise. PS Now is good since it allows us to play PlayStation titles on PC, but they only have older titles and a small library. Idk, it seems to me that it's mainly the Japanese companies that do the console only stuff, but some are starting to come around which is good. (Save for Nintendo, fuck Nintendo.) Persona 4 on Steam for example sold very well, opens up the possibility of Persona 5 on Steam, which I know would sell huge numbers and probably change some companies minds on exclusivity in the future.

If they port all previous ps3 era games (Mainly Metal Gear Solid 3, and God of War) then I’d consider re-buying it for nostalgia.

All four games lol. It's not like PC gaming is really competing with PS. Wish we could get God of War and The Last of Us and Spider-Man; they seem cool but I'm not buying an entire console just to try them.
