u/technocornucopia Nov 24 '21

How long is the sale until?

103

u/XD0ntscam Nov 24 '21

it should be for about a week

100

u/XD0ntscam Nov 24 '21

but also the winter sale is coming in about 28 days.

35

u/SirBing96 Nov 24 '21

Usually the same sales between autumn and winter, sometimes different games get sales though

3

u/nacke11 Nov 24 '21

Since Winter Sale is the big one do you think I should wait for it or do the prices drop in a same way and the only difference is the number of games that are on sale? Also, does this Autumn Sale include the Black Friday?

6

u/BradisAw3som3 Nov 24 '21

Try check out the price history using Steamdb. I've recently started using it to anticipate sale prices and see what the likely discount/price would be and if some sales (based on previous years) usually provide deeper discounts.

Of course, the longer a game has been out, the better the chance for lower discounts, but sometimes they can be the same I believe.

Hope this was of some help

3

u/nacke11 Nov 24 '21

Yeah, I started using it recently too but I'm also not that patient and the price difference, if it exist, will not be a lot at all... so I bought them already 😅

What are you guys looking out for this sale?

73

u/LucasStoryNZ Nov 24 '21

Nothing in particular, just gonna see what pops up.

29

u/F-Man_95 Nov 24 '21

Nothing's wrong with that. Hopefully you can find something that suits your taste

u/BellumOMNI Nov 24 '21 edited Nov 25 '21 Helpful

Some enriched uranium 235, but I can also settle for some plutonium, it's for a house project. Fingers crossed for a good deal on the uranium.

edit: no uranium deals, damn :(

81

u/F-Man_95 Nov 24 '21

Yup. Hope you can find it!

37

u/XD0ntscam Nov 24 '21

there should be some great deals.

12

u/F-Man_95 Nov 24 '21

I hope so. I have a few games that I'd love to buy this sale

9

u/XD0ntscam Nov 24 '21

I mean it should be as any other sale +- some games, so if a game goes on sale every few months then it probably will on this one

3

u/F-Man_95 Nov 24 '21

Yeah but only recently have I found these games so I'm not sure if they will be on sale or will I be forced to pay the full price. I will check in a few hours

5

u/Cryborg12 Nov 24 '21

You can check the price history in steamdb

2

u/F-Man_95 Nov 24 '21

Didn't know that. Thank you so much!

2

u/Geralt_Bialy_Wilk Nov 24 '21

I can also recommend gg.deals website :)

1

u/XD0ntscam Nov 24 '21

I mean if the game or dlc has released recently then there's a lower change of it having a sale any time soon, but if you wait the sale will surely come

1

u/F-Man_95 Nov 24 '21

Thank for the tip. I appreciate it

19

u/gnocchicotti Nov 24 '21

Oh my God. They found me. I don't know how, but they found me. RUN FOR IT, MARTY!!

16

u/EjdSmith Nov 24 '21 edited Nov 24 '21

I’m sure that in 1985, plutonium is available at every corner Steam Store, but in 1955 it’s a little hard to come by.

7

u/qbacoval Nov 24 '21

You don't have Kovarex enrichment setup? Can paste you some blueprints if you want.

2

u/berdango Nov 24 '21

I heard u can pre-order it from EA.

11

u/Ludwig234 Nov 24 '21

EA will probably only deliver U238 instead of the promised U235

GTA IV. I heard they are going to ruin remaster it in the future, so I wanna have the original before they remove it from the store like they did with the classic Trilogy.

Mega Man Zero/ZX Collection, the Repentance DLC for Isaac, maybe Noita as well.

2

Short and concise. Those are really solid choices.

2

u/TheRealDeepStriker Nov 24 '21

Never thought I'd see Zero/ZX being mentioned. This makes me happy

2

u/drbuni Nov 24 '21

I love me some Mega Man, it is the only collection I am still lacking on Steam. Looking forward to lose my mind while attempting to get S ranks in all stages.

4

u/outline01 Nov 24 '21

I'd love Inscryption but really doubt it'll be on sale.

I'm really looking for another FPS shooter that does something different to the usual Call of Dutys and Battlefields. The last shooter on Steam I pumped hundreds, if not thousands, of hours in to was PUBG. Then I switched to Tarkov for a while, but that's gotten stale after 1,500 hours.

I'm tempted by Hell Let Loose as a competitive shooter and Back4Blood as a cooperative one, but both of those games I feel would be better multiplayer with friends and I really, REALLY can't be bothered to go and find a new community that works for me and ingrain myself in it, so I'll probably keep searching for something that has a decent amount of longevity as a solo.

2

3

u/_Jawwer_ Nov 24 '21

For me, I'm buying the Ryu Ga Gotoku games in bulk (except for 7) when they go on a discount.

I played 0 at the beginning of summer, and I'm hooked.

Beyond that, it is more likely for the winter sale, but if Forza Horizon 5 gets an at least 30 percent, I think I'm going for it.

1

u/F-Man_95 Nov 24 '21

Ryu Ga Gotoku? I believe I haven't heard that name before. What games are these?

1

u/_Jawwer_ Nov 24 '21

Oh shit sorry, it's Yakuza.

Their Japanese title is RGG, and means "Like a Dragon".

It is also the name of the devs, and they make spinoff games with the same style, like Judgement, or Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise.

2

u/F-Man_95 Nov 24 '21

No need to apologize. I personally never played any Yakuza or Forza game ever (my laptop is too old for that) but I hope you can get those games cheap

2

u/_Jawwer_ Nov 24 '21

Yakuza games are already cheap on steam, and go on mad discounts.

I'm talking down from 20 Euros normally, to 5, save for the 2 most recent games at any given time.

These are AAA games, so that is a super low cost for them.

16

u/gnocchicotti Nov 24 '21

Finally, something to buy that isn't out of stock or marked up 250%

147

u/lKrauzer Nov 24 '21

I'll pass this one, need to quit my bills, last month doing that, and after that I'm gonna be able to buy games again, almost 1.5y not buying anything

64

u/XD0ntscam Nov 24 '21

nice, good for you!

35

u/human337 Nov 24 '21

I hope you get -95% sales

166

u/ned_poreyra Nov 24 '21

I never understood autumn sale. There was Halloween sale less then a month ago and there will be winter sale in a month. Something that appears in the autumn sale will obviously have the same or better offer in the winter sale, so there is no point in buying anything now.

190

u/n00bca1e99 Nov 24 '21

Basically a Black Friday sale is how I look at it.

88

u/XD0ntscam Nov 24 '21

I mean the halloween sale was really short, like 1-2 days

61

u/[deleted] Nov 24 '21

and many games were not on sale, mostly only horror/atmospheric. Autumn covers most of the games

6

u/FlexibleAsgardian Nov 24 '21

5 days actually

25

u/Stonewall30nyr Nov 24 '21

Maybe someone's looking for a game to play for right now

-32

u/ned_poreyra Nov 24 '21

I'm way past the age to understand that feeling anymore.

34

u/HotcakeNinja Nov 24 '21

The point in buying now is that I want now. Who complains about there being too many sales?

7

u/[deleted] Nov 24 '21

There was a lot of stuff on my wishlist that didn’t go on sale during Halloween. I think the autumn sale is probably to cash-in on all the Black Friday traffic where some people expect literally everything to be on sale.

6

u/BatimadosAnos60 Nov 24 '21

9

u/userNumber89013 Nov 24 '21

I've never heard of disabling wallets, but I have heard of them preventing you from sending gifts if you send too many too fast. Its to prevent scams. Lets say I have my payment information saved in my account. You scam me to get my password and 2fa code. Now you can gift yourself a ton of games using my money. Another thing would be me cashing out steam fund by selling my skins for wallet funds and then selling you games for real money

I would imagine that after a few days their account will return to normal, especially if they contact support about it

I haven't searched and I haven't found, but looking from past sales you can guess more accurately if the game is gonna go on sale or not

Haven't bought anything yet and probably won't, and honestly haven't bought much of anything in the past 5 or 6 sales.

I do find it hilarious Guardians of the G is 35% off but Sekiro came out 2 years ago and is the same price.

I finally bought Deathloop for $29.99 and then immediately saw a link on IndieGala where it was $24.99. Not even going to bother with the refund, fuck the $5.
