So sorry, I'm broke so I can only pay you $77 for my food. You were great though.

American tipping culture is a cancer.

It only works when things are going well. Times of struggle its borderline indentured servitude level pay

Times of struggle its borderline indentured servitude level pay

And that's how you know the machine is oiled well. Make sure people are so focused on whether or not they'll have enough money to live or eat so they won't look at all of the obvious, glaring fuckery being done around (and to) us.

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '22

Even better. Feed the dumber citizens hard propaganda that makes them fight with all the other citizens that are trying to fight for rights and pay. As if the hyuck hyucks are too busy fighting the progressives then they can't fight the government.

Control your citizenry through propaganda 101.

u/Neveronlyadream Jan 15 '22

And then feed them propaganda that it's all their fault.

"Millennials are killing restaurants and small businesses and the baby market and diamonds and et cetera! They're spending all their money on avocado toast!"

u/According_Gazelle472 Jan 17 '22

Ah ,that ever present avocado toast.

Both sides of the spectrum could reach some form of a common ground if our masters would let them. Instead just keep us going hard against each other while they all line their pockets and laugh

Lmfao I really love that "hyuck hyuck" euphemism lmao

u/CreatedSole Jan 16 '22

Exactly. Or even worse you get people at the same level being condescending "moral high ground" pricks using shaming tactics to try and make you feel like you're a bad person for not subsiding the wages of the server in the corporations stead. You know the ones, "YoUrE aN aSsHoLe If YoU CaNt aFfOrD tO TiPpPpP" not even realizing this is exactly what corporations want because they get to rake in profits from all sides AND have the lower classes deriding and fighting amongst themselves over their own policies.

Divide and conquer the people
