So sorry, I'm broke so I can only pay you $77 for my food. You were great though.

If you can't afford to tip your waiter then eat fast food

That's a conditioned response to wage theft, but go on.

No it's called being a decent human being

That's your opinion.

It's the opinion of every decent human being. You tip your server if the service is decent or above instead of citing a political point to justify being an asshole.

Ah, here we have a classic example of corporate conditioning. "If you don't tip you're a bad person!" Are they, though? No, you've just been trained to respond that way because compensating wage theft is normal to you. Tipping isn't and should never be mandatory. Corporate interests, not customers, are 100% responsible for paying a living wage.

Again, it's called being a decent human being. By all means, don't tip... Just don't be surprised when people call you out for being an ass.

Annnnnd what part of our conversation lead you to believe I don't tip? I worked as a server for years - I always tip for good service. I would never expect someone to tip me, though, because I'm not privy to the details of their bank account. Some people don't tip because they simply don't believe in it. Who are we to judge them? Shaming people for not tipping is shitty.

If you don't believe in tipping then don't eat out. It's that simple.

There's that conditioning, again. That phrase is exactly what keeps the status quo the way it is. If you don't agree with servers not being paid a living wage, don't eat out. Stay home and cook for the rest of your life until it changes. See how self righteous that sounded?
