I would never expect someone to tip me, though, because I'm not privy to the details of their bank account. Some people don't tip because they simply don't believe in it. Who are we to judge them? Shaming people for not tipping is shitty.
There's that conditioning, again. That phrase is exactly what keeps the status quo the way it is. If you don't agree with servers not being paid a living wage, don't eat out. Stay home and cook for the rest of your life until it changes. See how self righteous that sounded?
You're not going to change my mind that not tipping makes you an asshole. Unless the service was shit, tip your server. If you can't afford to not be a shitty person, then cook your own food.
