That's another fucked thing about the US: why the fuck are all prices pre-tax

According to Americans I've asked before, it's because the tax differs by state so instead of a nationwide company bothering to make different adverts/pricing info for each state they operate in they just put the price of their goods and then then the consumers add the tax of whatever state they're in. They told me it was easier for the companies that way
