And that's how you know the machine is oiled well. Make sure people are so focused on whether or not they'll have enough money to live or eat so they won't look at all of the obvious, glaring fuckery being done around (and to) us.

That completely true, the uprising in history bursted out when people lived a fair life but knew they could have better, not when life was bad

Historically there have been a lot of relevant uprisings that have happened under a whole spectrum of conditions. The first I can think of would be the aftermath of the black plague, entire families were almost completely wiped over just a few years and the newly accumulated wealth of the survivors made them realize they no longer has to serve anyone.
