Now see this is why I love Reddit. Buncha secrets get exposed here if you can filter through the garbage.

Lots of highly intelligent people in this sub. Just apparently not the moderators.

That's exactly my point. I lurk mostly and I've seen a METRIC FUCK TON of highly intelligent people on this sub that would of put the Fox News fucktard in his place and accurately describe what's this sub is all about. Taking back the means of production and getting the bourgeois class and the ruling class to get fucked. I want to work but I want my labor to be accurately paid so I can support a family on one income if I want. I want to thrive not survive.

528

u/Gnolldemort Jan 27 '22

Oh I know. Being a Reddit mod and thinking it means you're important already means you aren't well and fox knew that.

464

u/Massive_Collection32 Jan 27 '22

Fox News was licking their fucking chops like a pack of hungry lions, when they got the news that a Reddit mod, one from r/antiwork no less, wanted to come on and engage with them.

Seriously, I'm about to report this mod to the POLICE for openly admitting to a pattern of sexually assaulting someone.

131

u/ExceedinglyGayRoach mostly here to laugh. lol. lmao Jan 27 '22

And she got handed an EASY interview too, given endless softballs to get the interview started and fumbled it like a fucking Little Leaguer. I hate to imagine the bloodbath it would've been if they gave her someone especially slimey and dishonest like Tucker Carlson.

55

u/Coolwinner05 Jan 27 '22

When I heard about the interview being a mess, I initially thought the questions were tough.

Then I got to watch the video and boy, oh boy! It was questions you would expect from someone being interested in the movement and wanting to know more. Nothing more and she couldn't even answer in a proper way.

Not sure what she thought before going on the interview. If it were me, I would've prepared answers for all imaginable questions.

It was a fucking mess.

Yes Fox News did their research and hand selected this person for this reason so they could lambaste them during the interview.

They didn’t just blindly approach the subreddit and ask to talk to “someone”

As much as I hate Fox News and their agenda I have to give them credit that this was executed perfectly and the result is exactly what they were aiming for.

5

u/CoveredInMetalDust Jan 27 '22

I wouldn't give them too much credit--this is hardly a new tactic for modern news media. News outlets did the exact same thing to the Occupy movement ten plus years ago, and wouldn't you know it worked. Fox probably just copied someone's homework.

If I believed this subreddit was as influential as some posters seem to think it is, I would almost believe this was an op. It's that friggin bad.

11

u/margueritedeville Jan 27 '22

It really does stink to high heaven of one.

10

u/kithlan Jan 27 '22

Only reason I believe it's just sheer incompetence and ego is because as it's been mentioned, this subreddit was taken over by the Great Resignation movement, not in any way an influence on it. Regular people fed up with employer bullshit just happened to find a poorly named subreddit that seemed close enough to what they were venting about.

After all, the community just seemed to have realized the mods are AnComs that apparently believe in the abolition of work/labor entirely? (Usually AnComs are just against wage labour/wage slavery, from what I'm aware of).

Genuinely yes. This is why I hated liberals for so long. The majority of the ones I had met acted exactly like this. Then I met normal liberals and realized that we all want the same thing. We just have a few things we disagree on. However the majority of things conservatives and liberals agree on.

So much is confusing about this story.

Like, were they in a relationship that went cold but they still had to live together?

Why were these two sleeping in the same quarters if one of them was uncomfortable? Was this in a dorm or barrack? Why was the situation prolonged such that they were able to “get help through therapy?” If they were setting alarms to keep from touching happening, wasn’t that the time to physically separate?

I’m just not able to wrap my head around the situation.

20

u/outerspaceteatime Jan 27 '22

Sounds like they moved in together, the partner was already traumatized, and then the mod continued to traumatize them bc her needs weren't met.

Idc even if they made major contributions to a charity, it doesn't change the feel bad for me mentality and the lack of remorse for the victim. Zero personal accountability just excuses about how they're partner didn't do them so it's there fault they have ptsd now. It's just a load of victim blaming with I'm doing really small things to get better so it can't be my fault.

TFW your rapist says being politely asked to stop raping you gave them PTSD. 😐

173

u/dadbodfordays Jan 27 '22

Also, did anyone else read this as her asking her victim to pay for her therapy and her victim telling her to fuck off? I have seen no discourse on how weird and vague the therapy payment part is.

59

u/Beaugardes182 Jan 27 '22

I brought a similar point up in another thread and someone pointed that it was more likely that Doreen was offering to pay for the victims therapy, but that wasn't necessary due to the victim having adequate insurance, and to Doreen not being able to afford the costs. I think that is more likely, surely she couldn't be so vile as to ask her own victim to pay for her therapy.

18

u/ToastTheFullMoon Jan 27 '22

I’m so petty I’d pocket the money and use the insurance for therapy. FUCK this bitch.

I was dating a guy who told me a long story of a predatory act he committed and wanted me to hug him as though he was a victim because the person he preyed upon and their father called them out on it.

Anyhow I dumped him because he admitted to me several times he was a predator. He was the only one left confused though.

102

u/StoicSalad Jan 27 '22

It’s actually insane to me how many predators seek and expect sympathy after their “apology” or they “come clean” about their past.

THATS NOT THE POINT OF APOLOGIZING. You did it. You harmed others. It’s not about you, and you are not the one who gets to ask for sympathy when you’ve traumatized and abused others.

18

u/anonymous_opinions Jan 27 '22

Yep. It's them who need to apologize but they expect the victims to forget or see the situation the same way they do.

there is no reason too write this down, in case you got publicly called out for rape, this is just more proof your a rapist. any explination/apology would be in the moment, and you would move to seek guaidence to aid in the issues you have. Seek a god damn theripist, not a fucking internet group saying your good. the only people who'd say your good are rapist, only to making the situation worst. your plea of "do not critisim" only makes this more aperent that your looking for other rapists to join in.

54

It takes literally YEARS of therapy, self-reflection, and tbh oversharing with potential new friends/partners to get over that kind of manipulative behavior, too.

When I was in my early twenties, I would threaten to kill myself to avoid accountability - sometimes for some really silly/minimal shit.

I'm much older now and I've been in therapy for 15-20 years and those impulses STILL happen.

I've just learned to tell my brain to shut the fuck up and not be a manipulative piece of shit. I also feel it necessary to tell friends/potential partners of my past toxic behavior.

In a week once everything been brought to the surface it’s gonna be “Hey remember when we interviewed that hilarious nervous dogwalker? Well turns out letting antiwork speak for itself was all it for the subreddit to completely collapse and it’s come out that Doreen was actually a perpetrator of sexual assault. Let’s all take a look and have a nice chuckle at the state of their subreddit post interview” and we’ll be rightly dragged again.

FFS Knowing herself at all or considering the people who hit the join button even once should have been enough to say “I’m not the right person for this”

Egos man fuck

no doubt fox news already knew about it, probably why they wanted her specifically

48

u/jewbo23 Jan 27 '22

They’d have brought it up surely.

121

u/ItchyRedBump Jan 27 '22

They didn’t need to, the interview train-wrecked itself.

74

u/RonDiDon Jan 27 '22

Exactly lol You can see Jesse Watters came ready for a bigger fight with all kinds of ammo but once the interview started the jokes just wrote themselves and he just sat back and watched the trainwreck unfold

43

u/adventuresquirtle Jan 27 '22

When he said “we have to go we have bills to pay” I nearly spat my water out. Man was RUTHLESS.

12

u/RonDiDon Jan 27 '22

Yup🤣🤣 and that clown mod didn't even pick up on that Jan... What an embarrassment.

15

u/According_Gazelle472 Jan 27 '22

Smile boys, just smile and let the mod implode on national tv.

24

u/Justinian2 Jan 27 '22

Whole point of that interview was to hold up a clearly severely troubled person and basically be like "hey look, this is the average typical lazy millennial asking for better working conditions"

8

u/PM_ME_CURVY_GW Jan 27 '22

this is the average

It’s almost like all media outlets do this to keep us fighting each other. No need to listen to other opinions if you can attach an entire movement to the worst among them.

4

u/EvulRabbit Jan 27 '22

The perfect Stereotype for the Right "Lazy millennial" who is also a Trans woman rapist. This was definitely their golden goose.

They had it ready but then froze when they realize they didn't have to do anything - just not interrupt. Host did a good job of holding back laughter until it was over.

45

u/5555ives Jan 27 '22 edited Jan 27 '22

Yeah probably. I'm assuming they knew about the autism and trans status and that's why they asked for her specifically, I don't think it's a crazy leap in logic to assume they would have known about this. But it's an assumption on top of an assumption, hard to know exactly

15

u/scholasticussuperbus Jan 27 '22

Fox probably has an entire department of private investigators to do "opposition research", assuming that they didn't do a background check to look for potential dirt seems a bit naive. Especially when the dirt was posted by the incredibly dumb person on facebook.

Watch the “interviews” this imposter made before as their “experience.”

A joke and half. Can’t imagine how bad the rest are if they sent out this clown

10

u/stitchyandwitchy Jan 27 '22

But it's okay guys!! She made a donation so it's all good now!!!

Lmao as a SA survivor and a worker, Doreen can fuck off to hell.

8

u/NotOutrageous Jan 27 '22

WTF is the deal with reddit mods being sexual predators? It seems to be a trend.

Holy shit. This person is a master manipulator; to others, but mostly to themself.

272

u/queeblo40 Jan 27 '22

No, this isn't the person they sent. This is the person that Fox News choose to talk to. It obvious that Fox wants to have on a 21 year old, unemployed internet mod with no media training to interview. They wanted someone easy to discredit and to paint everyone involved in a negative light. The media wants to destroy any type of movement for workers rights and letting them choose who represents us is of course going to have them choose the worst type of person to deliver the message. Should they not be a mod here, probably not, but digging up more dirt and complaining about it is just doing the work of capital to stop any change from actually happening.

257

u/sahndie Jan 27 '22

This was the 30 year old dog walker who went on Fox. The unemployed, 21-year-old anarchist gave interviews to four other media outlets, but not Fox News.

6

u/-ImHungry- Jan 27 '22

Oh there was another anitwork mod giving interviews??

Yes and the mod team is dumb for thinking it was a good idea for any of them to go on Fox News

When you look up 'tmi' or 'oversharing' this should be the first thing that pops up.

28

u/Appropriate_Pressure Jan 27 '22

And this person was NEVER vetted or questioned before they were allowed to be a mod or go on Fox News?

Wow, r/antiwork . You ALL absolutely need to resign or close this sub entirely. Get out of here.

15

u/Cheesygirl1994 Jan 27 '22

I read somewhere on work reform (someone please find it for me) that they were offered someone to prompt them and prepare them and they simply flat out declined saying they’d handle it

From what I’ve seen posted it looks like this individual went rogue from the other mods’ decision NOT to do interviews.

It kinda makes me wonder if there was a financial incentive to this interview & the content of what was said to control the “public’s” aka FoxNews-viewers narrative of the worker movement brewing in society today.

Doreen rhymes with chlorine, which is what I would like to put on my eyes after reading this.

5

“I take consent very seriously.” clearly the fuck not ??? this is so terrible

5

u/Oliveforthis Jan 27 '22

“Symptoms of PTSD” Go fuck yourself Doreen. As an assault survivor who has been dealing with C-PTSD for years fuck right off into a pit of spikes. You don’t get sympathy for your fee-fees when you rape people. And you don’t get to claim to take consent seriously either. You’re a wolf in sheep’s clothing claiming to be an ally while preying on people. Fuck you Doreen.

5

u/BiteMyBaconBits Jan 27 '22

There are two possibilities with this damn fox interview

  1. The mods are morons/incredibly naive. They thought they could outsmart the Fox squad or that Fox would be fair in their interviewing process. But anyone with more than three brain cells knows that Fox is going to slant the interview as much as possible.

  2. They were being intentionally malicious. They were bought and paid for to go on fox and tank an interview in an attempt to stop this movement in its tracks. I don’t want to think this, but it’s also hard to believe that any rational person would have gone to that interview

Regardless of what it is, the mods here are a joke, which means this sub is a joke.

4

u/logfromrenandstimpy Jan 27 '22

Man this is not gonna look good when someone from Fox News gets this screen grab and brings it up. Hell I bet Carlson brings on Watters and talks about all the drama that has happened on here.

4

u/pagan_psychonaut Jan 27 '22

What a train wreck.

4

u/Armistice8175 Jan 27 '22

Wow. So this weirdo just chose to put this out there?

4

u/Sloth_Broth Jan 27 '22

It’s all just so agonisingly awful, its so unbelievably pathetic that you beg for it to be satire.

5

u/Ant_moreno Jan 27 '22
