Eugene Roshal created WinRAR, Ron Dwight was the CEO of the company that owned WinRAR.

Author Dwight was not the author of WinRAR, that's Eugene Roshal. Ron Dwight was a friend of him, became CEO of the company they founded for it, and helped with support and promotion. As far as I know Eugene Roshal is still alive.

You can always get a cat friend yourself. Treat them with care and they will give you tons of affection (in their own cat way,). Not all are cuddlers, but there are plenty of cuddlers out there.

7zip > WinRAR (nag city)
Source: Used winRAR for over a decade. Immediately switch to 7zip once I discovered it. Fuck WinRAR. It is outdated and irrelevant. Anyone who still uses it is only being stubborn.

7-Zip doesn't integrate as good with the Windows shell, and it corrupted archives divided into pieces several times on my PC. WinRAR never failed.

A lot of corporations forbid 7zip after the pipeline attack. No fault of 7zip⦠it was simply the tool used. š¤·š»āāļø

Ah yes. I also accidentally opened WinRar, accidentally clicked buy license, accidentally went to the WinRar website, accidentally typed in my credit card info, accidentally type my credit card password, and accidentally clicked confirm purchase.

So right when I got my phone I set up the finger print scanner because itās a lot easier to use. I was downloading everything from my other phone and playing some random games while I waited for the rest of them to finish. Credit card info was already in the phone and after losing the game it asks you to buy something and I accidentally click it, my first response was to click the home button to get out of the game but when you buy something you can use your finger print. So I hear the boop beep sound when you buy something and there the moneys gone, $5 into a game Iāll never play again worst mistake of my life.

This guy thinks russia still has a overly autocratic, totalitarian tsar that tyrannies the whole population. They are feared into submission and the anticapitalist regime disowns everyone of their possetions and belongings, how it should be in a percect commie state.

Honestly I use 7zip, it's better and doesn't have those annoying ads

I mean them telling you to buy the license is advertisement of their own company

Funny thing is that winrar is free for the consumer in order to distribute the software, but costs money for companies trying to make use of it. But the "pay" popup that people close makes them think they are getting a paid service for free. It's quite a smart business practice, and has even sparked tonnes of publicity.

Okay but really why hasn't windows or Mac integrated WinRAR capabilities like zip files? Surely it can't be that expensive to license or recreate. And a sizeable userbase would appreciate it.
