I'm just glad Rusty Cage is known by this many people.

Check out some of his other music if you haven't - he's honestly one of my favorite musicians. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXTJAgWsTd4

5

u/CorpseJuiceSlurpee Jan 17 '22

Same. I'll Come Back to New Orleans is one of my favorites. His whole catalogue is a bit edgelordy, but honestly the songs are good.

3

u/JeveGreen Jan 17 '22

Honestly, I haven't heard that many of their songs, it's mostly just just "There Isn't Any God," and the before mentioned "Family-Friendly Noose Song" that comes to mind. But just those two songs shows the grim potential of this artist, regardless of whether or not you actually believe.

Anyone else getting a lot more scam ads recently about making millions of dollars just by breathing (and paying thousands of dollars for scam courses, but who cares about that?)

23

u/Caiei1 Jan 17 '22

Been geting that for years, or lest we forget tai Lopez the knowledge guy. The real pain is going through YouTube shorts and getting cringy, bad financial advice from those same types of people. You poor? Just improve your credit score, take out a huge loan for as low of an interest rate as possible and invest it all into apple. There is nothing that could go wrong with this!

11

u/Caiei1 Jan 17 '22

They'll also peddle NFTs and poor people are poor by choice bull shit

3

u/arvyy Jan 17 '22

I mean, everyone is peddling NFT these days. It's pervasive

7

u/YouandWhoseArmy Jan 17 '22

Buy on margin! It’s not like that caused a whole Great Depression.

2

u/Caiei1 Jan 17 '22

Serious, the FIRE consept, (even though I hate the consept of passive income) is such a good idea but those people just saying shit like, payed off mortgage? Re mortgage the house and invest. It kinda makes me seriously doubt anyone who mentions the 8-10% a year statistic.

I'm in a bit of a dilemma right now, some people are asking me to remove the NSFW tag cuz there's nothing much going on here and is just "dank".

Do I remove the tag? Will rule 9 allow me to do it?

60

u/CatNoirsRubberSuit Jan 17 '22

God reddit has become lame. Five years ago you'd get roasted for marking something NSFW that didn't contain nudity or gore.

18

u/AutobotTesla Jan 17 '22

This site is essentially Weenie Hut Jr.'s now

4

u/PlacentaOnOnionGravy Jan 17 '22

What about 10 years ago?

17

u/CatNoirsRubberSuit Jan 17 '22

10 years ago /WTF/ was half liveleak videos

3

u/reddude7 Jan 17 '22

It's the age we live in. And it's reddit, the extreme end of the lame. Where people believe the USA is "nothing more than a debtor's prison run by billionaires" (actual comment I read last night on a thread about ambulance costs)

8

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '22

I came pretty quick to this so I guess so.

2

u/EclipseEffigy Jan 17 '22

I'm always surprised that there are people who will complain something is tagged NSFW that they feel shouldn't be. Honestly who cares lol. Better safe than sorry & let the comments fight it out if they want to

2

u/Rengar_Is_Good_kitty Jan 17 '22

Doesn't really need it no, I don't see how a rope around someone's neck in use as a joke on a sitcom is considered graphic content, gotta be a real special snowflake if you consider that graphic content.

Then again mods are special snowflakes so maybe the tag is required to not upset the baby mods.

He was very popular for playing Al Bundy in “Married….With Children.”

12

u/darklord01998 Jan 17 '22

More importantly, he scored 4 touchdowns in a single game for Polk High in '66

3

u/Ace_Slimejohn Jan 17 '22

He was also in the bomb ass second episode of Miami Vice in the 80s. One of my favorite episodes.

3

u/ConservativeSexparty Jan 17 '22

He did a great role as Jay, but I'll always remember him as Al.

I'm currently rewatching Married... With children after years and it still is awesome. The best part of the series is how amazing chemistry the actors have and how different comedic expression everyone has. The whole team really learned to use every character in the best way possible.

You can still dislike a video but there is no longer a dislike counter, so you can't immediately see how well received a video is.

1

u/Whispering-Depths Jan 17 '22

I've never looked at likes/ dislikes before in my entire life, couldn't give less of a fuck about the change other than that it's better and more wholesome in general.

1

u/TheHappyPoro Jan 17 '22

It's not better this meme exemplifies why. Just because you don't look at likes/dislikes doesn't mean no one does

→ More replies

1

u/ClicksAndASmell Jan 17 '22

How will you know how to compare view count to likes without a YouTube tutorial?

Seriously, I didn't even realize people thought of YouTube as an educational platform until people started bitching about this. My opinion of video tutorials was "most of these should be step-by-step articles."

1

u/Whispering-Depths Jan 17 '22

Yeah, it's about 5000x more useful to watch a video on how to replace your window motor in a 2006 ford pickup than a step by step article tbh

1

u/ClicksAndASmell Jan 17 '22

I disagree. That's clearly a matter of opinion, which is why I said "my opinion..."

And even if I didn't, where was all this noise about tutorials before? The most-viewed videos are all music.

It seems like they changed something, people didn't like it on the basis of it being change, and then someone came up with the argument about tutorials and everyone latched onto it because no one could think of any other reason to keep the dislike counter.

Tutorials aren't that big a deal to the advertisers that are YouTube's actual customers.

1

u/Whispering-Depths Jan 17 '22

I mean, if you've ever done car repairs without being a mechanic, you would just know

That being said, I love the fact they got rid of the dislike button - more wholesome in general, fixes a lot of problems.

Likes and dislikes are 99% fake anyways and can be bought.
