I wonder if this was the project he kept in the back for those occasions when nothing else seemed to be working the way he wanted. "Fuck this, I'mma go work on the lion." 😂

His Basement Boat

67

u/Kevaldes Jan 26 '23

NCIS reference?

40

u/nipple_fiesta Jan 26 '23

Yes! I just started binge watching it recently

23

u/Kevaldes Jan 26 '23

Yeah, It's a pretty great show to leave on in the background. I remember back when I had cable there was a channel that ran like a six hour block of NCIS reruns every day, so I just left it on while I was going about my day.

11

u/Mr-source Jan 26 '23

Do you know how he gets it out

9

u/nipple_fiesta Jan 26 '23

Does he eventually? I'm only like mid 4th season

9

u/Atlhou Jan 27 '23

Twice.

5

u/therealpoltic Jan 27 '23

It’s a running gag for the show. The boats do get out but we’re left to question how.

3

u/Opposite-Degree7361 Jan 27 '23

He shows/tells how eventually.

3

u/Dillion_HarperIT Jan 27 '23

Care to spoil it for me? Please?

2

u/ucefkh Jan 27 '23

He used a saw 🪚

Actually he destroyed the house!

Team of 20 in Myanmar.

u/OptimusSublime Jan 26 '23

Why is this one of a kind wooden structure being transported uncovered?

125

u/TomJLewis Jan 26 '23

That low rider trailer, in the fast lane too.

42

u/AshleyBidensDiary Jan 26 '23

Right. I’d be pissed when it arrived covered in dents dings and slightly sand blasted.

23

u/RadicalizedRaccoon Jan 27 '23

And the possibility of crashing and ruining it all

13

u/tonyprosciutto Jan 27 '23

I mean thats a possibility anyways

5

u/guiltyspark345 Jan 27 '23

Bad publicity is good publicity i guess?

7

u/JUNGL15T Jan 27 '23

And a mouthful of bugs.

2

u/datsthope Jan 27 '23

Better than the eyes

10

u/maestergaben Jan 27 '23

If this is in China, left lane is the slow lane.

3

u/datsthope Jan 27 '23

Even so, didn't look particularly dry out either haha

4

u/monstarehab Jan 27 '23

this video is mirrored from the original.

2

u/HammerBgError404 Jan 27 '23

its mirrored. this is not the original

1

u/Lint_baby_uvulla Jan 27 '23

Ah. So they are now taking it back?

Karen - I did NOT order this on Amazon AliExpress, I ordered tiger yoga pants with a wood pattern

263

u/Alternative_Ad2040 Jan 26 '23

3 years of hard work, determination, care put into every detail….. not one fuck given about how it’s transported

44

u/Captain_Rajah Jan 26 '23

While I agree with you completely, that does look pretty awesome

30

u/jimbobthestarfish Jan 26 '23

The guy who made its already been paid, the guy that bought it though dgaf

95

u/No-Cod7072 Jan 26 '23

I predict the next time I see this on Reddit it will be upside down, after seeing this a second time horizontally flipped.

7

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '23

😂😂😂😂 For sure

1

u/trustyourtech Jan 27 '23

Dude created a traffic violation video now so can also post in idiotsincars for extra karma.

47

u/radrun84 Jan 26 '23

Also, If I worked on that fuckin thing for 3+ years, I'd be nervous AF, to have it just cruising uncovered. They didn't even put anything between the straps & the load itself. IT Just doesn't seem totally safe

16

u/beans3710 Jan 26 '23

Sequoia wood is very soft sort and light of like balsa wood which is why they can haul such a big piece of wood down the highway.

16

u/ilovestampfairtex Jan 26 '23

Anyone who can craft such amazing beautiful work has my admiration. I’m in awe of their talents

14

u/goelfyourselph Jan 26 '23

Shown here on its way home to casino in Oklahoma.

8

u/Big_Baloogas Jan 26 '23

They could have atleast covered it. Really neat to see but it had to be full of rock chips after that trip.

7

u/oniraptor Jan 26 '23

WHOA. Supreme skills.

3

u/Easy-Quail3204 Jan 27 '23

You ain’t kitten!

3

u/kalitarios Jan 27 '23

He ain’t lion

3

u/Tha_Last_of_Tha_Best Jan 27 '23

I been lion 😂

3

u/Xunaun Jan 27 '23

Definitely a "mane" attraction!

6

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '23

Why wouldn't they cover it during transport? Could get damaged.

1

u/Brookelynne1020 Jan 27 '23

Can’t take pictures then

8

u/KamikazeAlpaca420 Jan 26 '23

You better have insurance that covers things that can't be replaced

6

u/p8262 Jan 26 '23

A lion showered in lots little bugs

4

u/Slight-Carob-5696 Jan 26 '23

3 years? Is that the statue of limitations for this limitation of statues?

3

u/obesebilly Jan 27 '23

Should have hired this guy for the MLK statue

2

u/Manateefan01 Jan 26 '23

Isn’t this a redwood?

2

u/blackbirdspyplane Jan 27 '23

Surprised they didn’t cover it for transport

2

u/PM-me-your-titties-1 Jan 27 '23

Such a worthy use for that fallen sequoia.

2

u/Odd_Professional9927 Jan 27 '23

No this is art, I can appreciate. It will last for a very long time. Beautiful.

2

u/McbEatsAirplane Jan 27 '23

Let’s hope that truck doesn’t crash.

1

u/A_Lovely_ Jan 26 '23

So what’ll that be, about $3.50?

Seriously anyone know the price on that?

3

u/Kevaldes Jan 26 '23

Several hundred thousand at least, at a conservative estimate. Probably more likely to be in the ten or even hundred millions.

13

u/lilStankfur Jan 26 '23

Idk.. if it was worth tens of millions I'd figure they atleast put a tarp over it

5

u/s986246 Jan 26 '23

Could be 10 million dollars. People pay millions of dollars for hand crafted wood furnitures / decoration in South East Asia. You would see a set of wooden living room furnitures that’s several millions of dollars and nobody would sit on it in some wealthy people’s houses overthere

1

u/Remote_Bet_4459 Jan 26 '23

It's allegedly the largest wooden sculpture in the world, 20 people worked on it over 3 years. It stands in Wuhans Fortune Plaza Times Square. I don't know if it even has a price currently.

4

u/kalitarios Jan 27 '23

The local wood chainsaw carvings here sell for $10,000 for a 6 foot tall sculpture. This one is probably on the north end of a million

3

u/Knot-Tying-Magician Jan 26 '23

Well, they certainly didn’t shell out for the shipping

1

u/radrun84 Jan 26 '23

Bezos is outta control.

*World's largest Super Yacht (Sailed or Motored) *World's first recreational Space Rocket (so if you're, Will Shatner, or Harrison Ford, you can take a ride to space with Ur buddy Bezo's!) *World largest wooden Sculpture, from a dead Sequoia Tree!

1

u/nachodogmtl Jan 26 '23

I'll be impressed when he does that to a live Sequoia tree.

1

u/Skegetchy Jan 27 '23

I always wish these wood carvings had a matt finish. Not sure why but but i guess I’m just not a gloss guy.

1

u/seed_of_Harambe Jan 26 '23

I bet this didnt cost 10 million dollars

1

u/Sociallyaware7 Jan 26 '23

Holy fucking shit. Beautiful just beautiful

1

u/Pawdy-The-Furry Jan 26 '23

Love the Transformers music in the background

1

u/theFastestBlack Jan 27 '23

I thought I recognized it. Do you know which score this is?

1

u/Pawdy-The-Furry Jan 27 '23

I dont know the exact one unfortunately TwT

1

u/karma-armageddon Jan 26 '23

Who is getting it? Boston could have had this. Boston, ya dun goofed.

0

u/HugeWaltz6550 Jan 26 '23

1

1

u/Treitsu Jan 27 '23

One drunk driver or one idiot teenager is all it takes

1

u/Appropriate_Fee_1867 Jan 27 '23

And here I thought that was a giant drum stick

1

u/PhunkyJr Jan 27 '23

If I was really rich this is some thing I would want in my living room.

1

u/awkwardgirl34 Jan 27 '23

Okay but… somehow this just made my final destination 2 nightmares worse.

1

u/Ok-Beach-2970 Jan 27 '23

Why is this not covered??

1

u/Outside_Can_5595 Jan 27 '23

Just an Elden Ring boss Rollin down the highway.

1

u/ManyFacedGodxxx Jan 27 '23

I ordered it for my living room. I messed up the “ inch and ‘ foot symbols…

1

u/SomeRandomDevPerson Jan 27 '23

Another bot that finds and flips popular videos?

1

u/Even_Bug_4754 Jan 27 '23

It should be a shame to cut such a big tree

1

u/PathologicalLiar_007 Jan 27 '23

That’s from 1 whole tree?? He’s…. Lion

1

u/SheepherderNo5849 Jan 27 '23

It was a 20 person job and was transported to Wuhan. Perhaps this was the commute there.Info PIC 1 PIC 2

1

u/Suitable-Lake-2550 Jan 27 '23

Thanks for clarifying that the tree was dead...

1

u/ERROR-5O4 Jan 27 '23

Thanks to Reddit, all I can anticipate is some idiot in car to happen by and desolate this art of craftsmanship.

1

u/findvikas Jan 27 '23

Bhag bhag sheer aaya Bhag

1

u/foxapotamus Jan 27 '23

No was in hell they would transport that uncovered

1

u/bozog Jan 27 '23

Put a bathroom in the mouth.

1

u/PaysPlays Jan 27 '23

“Oriental Lion” displayed on a plaza in Wuhan, something they probably would prefer to be known for.

1

u/Firelotus2000 Jan 27 '23

I thought it was made out of copper XD

1

u/spoollyger Jan 27 '23

Why wouldn’t you wrap this before shipment? It’s just going to be covered in loads of dead bugs now

1

u/tayvan23 Jan 27 '23

Fuck it would suck so bad if it got into an accident!

1

u/OKoLenM1 Jan 27 '23

The video posted 999999-th time and every time post have more than 1000 karma.

1

u/Champayne54 Jan 27 '23

Imagine being the driver who’s career is on the line if they don’t deliver that thing without damage

1

u/illkeepyouposted Jan 27 '23

I wonder where it ended up.

1

u/CryptographerNo6001 Jan 27 '23

Sequoias are an endangered species too. Same with Mufasa

1

u/HistoriesAlex Jan 27 '23

Grond!!

1

Happy cake day

1

u/Timely_Art_272 Jan 27 '23

1

u/ChampionshipLow8541 Jan 27 '23

And it’s eating bugs …

1

u/NovaShark28 Jan 27 '23

Is that the intro song from Nathan For You?

1

u/cwleveck Jan 27 '23

How come it took 3 years for the Sequoia to die?

1

u/Heydudeno Jan 27 '23

Horrible use of wood. Must be in China

1

u/madcowrawt Jan 27 '23

Id hate to be the truck driver... also, couldn't they have shrink wrapped it? Shits gonna be covered in bug guts

1

u/Unable-Captain-6627 Jan 27 '23

Umm of course it’s from a “dead“sequoia tree. Thank you captain obvious.

1

u/Wildhog1977 Jan 27 '23

Holy crap! I wish I had talent like that. That lion is amazing!! 😳😳

1

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '23

Imagine the facial expression of the redditor who added this music on top of the original video. I can see the sweat beading on their eyebrows
